Introduction of Mirdamad Sofeh Petrorefining Company
In an effort to establish a leading Petro-refinery holding, Mirdamad Sofeh Petrorefining Company was founded in the summer of 2022 as one of the subsidiaries of Isfahan Petro Refineries Holding (formerly Isfahan Oil Refinery). This company, utilizing its special solvents unit, storage facilities, and loading systems, and relying on the knowledge, experience, and efforts of its specialized staff, aims not only to enhance the value chain for producing various solvents but also envisions the production of unique and new products. Sulfur Granules
Sulfur is a nonmetallic element with the chemical symbol S and atomic number 16 that occurs naturally as a light yellow, odorless, brittle crystalline solid. It is widely used in various industries due to its unique chemical and physical properties, including polymorphism (allotropy) and high reactivity. Sulfur is commonly found as an element near volcanoes and hot springs, or is extracted as a by-product of oil and gas refining processes. Sulfur is known in ancient texts as “brumestone” (burning stone) and has been associated with fire and combustion in many cultures.
Iso Recycle
Iso Recycle is a system or process for recycling isocyanate in the polyurethane industry. Isocyanates are important chemical compounds in the production of polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives and other polymer products. In the production process, some of these materials are unused or remain as waste, and their recycling is very important from an economic and environmental perspective.
Iso Feed
Isofeed is a petroleum-based liquid hydrocarbon compound that is mainly used as a feedstock for petrochemical units, especially in the cracking process and olefin production. This colorless or light amber substance, with a mild odor and its specific physical and chemical properties, is considered one of the important feeds in the refining and petrochemical industry.
LPG
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a mixture of light hydrocarbons, mainly propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10), with small amounts of propylene and butylene. It is a gas that liquefies at the appropriate pressure and temperature.
Hexane
Hexane with the formula C6 H14 is obtained from the controlled distillation of oil and other processes that are based on oil refining. Hexane is used to extract edible oils from oil seeds in the polymerization process of olefins and as a solvent for various applications. The use of hexane has been popular since the beginning of the 20th century. One of the advantages of extracting with hexane is the stability of the plant pigment. Hexane is also used as a solvent for special purposes and as a degreaser in the textile, shoe and leather industries.
Pentane
Pentane with the formula C5 H12 is a colorless liquid. Pentane is available in two forms, ISO and normal. Pentane is used in motor fuels as well as in extraction processes, blowing agent in plastic foam, raw material for the preparation of other chemicals, laboratory solvent and chemical reaction solvent. Its applications are in low temperature thermometers, artificial ice production, particle spreader in sprays, lighting, disinfectant and pest control. The produced pentane consists of 70% normal pentane and 30% isopentane and can be adjusted according to request. It also has customers.
Butane
Butane (C4H10) is a flammable, colorless, gaseous hydrocarbon with a mild odor similar to natural gas or gasoline. It exists in two forms, isobutane and normal butane, and is usually stored and transported as a pressurized liquid (LPG). Butane has a wide range of applications in various industries due to its specific chemical and physical properties, including as a fuel, a raw material in the chemical industry, and a solvent in some processes.
Solvent 402
Solvent 402 contains C7 to C12 carbons, which is used in preparing paints, dyeing fabrics, cleaning metal surfaces, furniture making, shoe polishes, resin and rubber solvent, printing, cosmetics, health and food industries.
Also, because it is insoluble in water, it is used in the extraction process, sprays and wood protection. This solution belongs to the category of white spirit solvents, which is a mixture of paraffinic and aromatic hydrocarbons with a boiling temperature range of 142 to 198 degrees Celsius.
Solvent 502
Solvent 502 is a low-sulfur petroleum-based solvent consisting of mainly 10-13 carbon isoparaffins, which is used in paint and other industries. Its boiling temperature range is 180 to 250 degrees Celsius.
Solvent 503
Solvent 503 is a petroleum based solvent and its boiling temperature range is 210 to 295 degrees Celsius.
